Getting Rid Of Headaches...What If Pills Aren't Working Anymore?

Headache pain (cephalalgia) ranges from mild to severe and can be short term (acute) or long term (chronic). When talking about your pain, it’s important to know how to describe it so that your doctor gets a clear picture of your experience. Be sure to describe your pain in terms of time (duration) and intensity/severity. You and the doctor need to be on the same page so communication is of the utmost importance.

Correlation between lead exposure and periodontal disease

Study made in the U.S. population

An association between bone disease and bone lead has been reported. Studies show that lead stored in bone may adversely affect bone mineral metabolism and blood lead (PbB) levels. However, the relationship between PbB levels and bone loss attributed to periodontal disease has never been reported. In this study we examined the relationship between bone loss due to periodontal disease and PbB levels in the U.S. population.

Digital vs conventional C&B impression

Many dentists struggle with conventional C&B impressions and are waiting for that perfect digital scanner that’s reasonably priced. Of course, this would only make sense if the digital impression was in fact consistently better that the conventional one.  For many years, the leader in the market has been CEREC because of its single appointment application, but since not every dentist enjoys the laboratory work associated with this technique, most opted to stick to PVS impressions.
